Reference
Home-grown Production Ltd and Sparc 2006, Active Movement for
under-fives (series one).
This DVD is all about active learning from new born to under fives.
Helping developing children’s movement, what
they are capable of and not capable of at their current stage of development.
It is easy to follow step by step, if the parent or caregiver is staying home,
where as if the parent or caregivers are working it will be a little harder for
them, they have to make time after a day at work or set up the routines. It
covers wellbeing, spiritual, physical skills and emotions. It is a guide line
of how active children are. Active movement is to have fun and to be able to
gain new body skills.
How often do we hear our children say “We are bored or got nothing to do“(kids who are able to speak sentences)? Young children
are active even if they don’t do much movement
but their brain is always working and thinking…..wants or needs. Encourage
children to participate in movement activities to find what they like and
dislike, be involved with them catching or kicking balls around. When they
learn how to ride two-wheelers, hold their breath underwater and doing their
first bomb. Children always remember
spending quality time.
